When and where is Kidz to Adultz North being held?

Who is the Kidz to Adultz event for?

This event is for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, their parents, carers and all the professionals who support them. All students are welcome too.

For example:

  • Occupational Therapists and Assistants.
  • Physiotherapists and Assistants.
  • Speech Therapists.
  • Clinicians.
  • Procurement professionals.
  • Commissioners.
  • Company and organisation’s representatives.
  • Carers (paid and unpaid).
  • SENCos.
  • Teachers and Teaching Assistance.
  • LA Loan Store staff.
  • Wheelchairs and equipment services.

Siblings, and other family members, and individuals with disabilities and additional needs are welcome. 

What is this event?

With over 100+ exhibitors, this event provides access to equipment, products, support, advice, information on services and much more. Running alongside the exhibition there is always a full programme of free CPD accredited seminars on a range of topics delivered by renowned experts in the field of disability and additional needs. We also have a range of interactive activities including wheelchair skills training skills, adapted gaming area, story time show, fun zone, soft play and the Connection Hub.

Kidz to Adultz North is more than just an exhibition; we’re a community of all ages with disabilities and additional needs and those who care for them. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment to discover the latest products and services, gain insights from industry experts and make lasting connections.

Is this a free event?

Yes, this event is free of charge for visitors to attend. 

How do I register?

Registration is now open online. You can register from our website here

Approximately one week before the event you will receive your event QR code which our registration staff will scan upon your arrival to check you in into the event. For your convenience you will also receive a copy of the QR code on the morning of the event.

Can I just turn up at the venue without registering online?

Yes, you are more than welcome to attend without registering online. Upon arrival you will be asked to complete a manual registration slip.

Can I arrive at any time on the day?

Yes, you can arrive at the event anytime during our opening hours of 9.30am to 4.00pm and stay for as long as you wish, until the event closes to the public. You can also leave and return at your leisure and there will be no need to re-register.

Is this event suitable for children?

Absolutely! This event is the perfect opportunity for children to come and test equipment and products, be involved in the fun and interactive features and make new friends.

Is there a crèche?

No, we do not offer crèche facilities.

Who is exhibiting at Kidz to Adultz North?

You can view the current Exhibitor List on our website here. Here you will find company names, descriptions, stand numbers and contact information.

Is there a Kidz to Adultz North Showguide?

Yes, registered visitors will receive an online version of the Showguide approximately 2 weeks before the event. A hard copy of the Showguide will be available to take upon checking in at the venue.

Are you offering seminars at Kidz to Adultz North?

Yes, we offer a full CPD and educational seminar programme on a range of hot topics delivered by renowned experts in the field of disability and additional needs.

Seminars are not bookable; rooms can accommodate around 120 delegates, places will be on a first come first serve basis, you are advised to go to the appropriate room approximately 5-10 minutes before the seminar is due to start. Hearing loop facilities are within the rooms and children are welcome.

Are the seminars free?

Yes, all seminars are free of charge to attend.

Do the seminars count towards CPD?

Yes, all seminars are CPD accredited. Certificates of attendance are available to download on the day to boost your professional portfolios. 

Is there seating and catering facilities available at the event?

Yes, a range of hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and sandwiches are available to purchase. The catering and seating area is located towards the back of the exhibition hall and within the new restaurant ‘Junction’ located in the Central Foyer. Please note Manchester Central is a cashless venue, card payments only.

Is the venue accessible?

Manchester Central is designed for maximum accessibility for all.

Wheelchair access, accessible toilets, disabled parking, assistance dogs welcome, first aid provision and a quiet and prayer room available.

Are wheelchairs available for hire?

Are there accessible toilets at the event?

Yes, accessible toilets are located within the main reception area and also within the exhibition hall. There is also an accessible toilet in the AccessoLoo changing facility.

Is there a changing facility at the event?

Yes, an AccessoLoo Changing Facility will be at the event. This is an accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing bench and hoist with adequate space to accommodate the disabled person and up to two carers. Hoist users must bring their own slings for their own safety and to prevent cross contamination. The AccessoLoo will be located within the exhibition hall towards the back on the far left.

Yes, Manchester Central has a new Changing Places Facility located in the Central Foyer, to the left next to the main toilet block. Please speak to the venue concierge for an access key. The AccessoLoo Changing Facility will also be at the event. This is an accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing bench and hoist with adequate space to accommodate the disabled person and up to two carers. Hoist users must bring their own slings for their own safety and to prevent cross contamination. The AccessoLoo will be located within the exhibition hall towards the back on the far left.

How do I get to the venue?

Manchester Central is easy to reach via Manchester’s extensive multi-modal transport network.

By road: Manchester is at the heart of a comprehensive motorway network. Manchester’s M60 orbital motorway provides east access form North, South, East and West. Please use postcode M2 3GX if using a Sat Nav.

Metrolink: The nearest Metrolink stop to Manchester Central is St Peter’s Square. From there, it is a few minutes’ walk on foot. Metrolink runs every few minutes. You don’t need a timetable, just turn up, buy your ticket and the next Metrolink will be along shortly. Free parking may be available at some tram stops. Metroshuttle buses: These buses are free and link the city centre’s main rail stations, shopping areas and businesses. All buses are wheelchair accessible. More information on the Metroshuttle can be found here.

Bus: For further information on Greater Manchester bus network and to plan your journey can be found here.

By rail: Rail services arrive at Piccadilly or Victoria stations where passengers can connect with either the Metrolink trams or Metroshuttle bus to the venue.

By air: Manchester Airport is a major international airport just nine miles from the venue.

Yes, there is parking beneath the venue provided by the NCP with lift access to the venue and ample parking in the surrounding area:

I have a high WAV vehicle, is there parking available?

Working closely with the venue, we have managed to secure a number of additional, accessible parking spaces for high WAV vehicles. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. For more information please email:  Kidzteam@disabledliving.co.uk
