This guest blog tells our readers how the medical negligence team at Hodge Jones & Allen found their experience as an exhibitor for the first time, at Kidz to Adultz South in Farnborough.
We were all very excited to attend as this was our first Kidz to Adultz event, and to hear from families about their experiences, find out more from key service providers and other exhibitors. It was great to hear from them directly and to explain how we use the law to help disadvantaged and vulnerable people in all aspects of their lives.
We had a brilliant time on the day with so many opportunities to meet many families and in person too, which was extra special after the last few years!
We were delighted to have a busy day on our stand and to update ourselves on the latest equipment and services that can be transformative for kids growing up with special needs. I had the chance to try out an eye gaze system, which was harder than it looks! Eye driven communication technology certainly does transform lives.
Seminars and prize draw
There were many informative talks too, covering all different areas; I heard Joely Williams who spoke about ‘My Autistic Wings’ – an inspirational speaker who shared her experiences and lessons learned of living with autism.
It truly was a great day, and we were delighted that Jayne Judd won our Prize Draw. They received a ‘Family Entry Ticket to London Zoo for Four.’ Congratulations Jayne!
It was a brilliant first experience for the team at Kidz to Adultz South and we are already looking forward to the next one!
