Etac R82, supplier of the Molift range of hoists, has presented a highly popular seminar at the latest Kidz to Adultz exhibition focused on solutions for hoisting disabled children.
‘Challenges of Hoisting Children’ was delivered to over 60 healthcare professionals and parents by Colin Williams, Category Sales Manager, Overhead Hoists, Etac R82. Hosted at the Kidz to Adultz Middle event at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, it offered an invaluable introduction into practical techniques that solve many challenging scenarios.
Colin demonstrated how support, comfort and safety can be maximised through use of the right ceiling track and mobile hoist
This guidance was combined with advice regarding moving and handling best practice – ensuring transfers are efficient and controlled. Varying lifting situations were demonstrated using proven equipment from the Molift range including the overhead Duo gantry with Molift Air and the mobile Molift Smart 150.
This latest seminar was part of Etac’s continued educational programme which provides free training across the UK for professionals. From architects and specifiers to installers and carers, Molift Problem Solving Workshops provide more in-depth training so that ceiling track systems can be implemented more effectively. They can be delivered at Etac R82’s UK headquarters in Halesowen, West Midlands, or via its outreach services.
Colin Williams, course lead, commented:
“I was delighted to see so many attendees at our latest educational seminars and to receive such positive feedback. Our mission is to dispel many of the complexities and concerns associated with hoisting, particularly with the installation of overhead track systems. By attending practical demonstrations such as this latest seminar at Kidz, or one of our free workshops, healthcare professionals can enhance their transfer techniques and choice of appropriate equipment.”
