This is a guest blog written by Yorkshire Care Equipment.
This was Yorkshire Care Equipment’s second time at the Kidz to Adultz North exhibition, and it’s fast becoming one of our favourites! It’s nice to get the chance to meet OTs, parents, and kids who are interested in our products and how they can enhance quality of life. This year’s event was no different, with some surprisingly popular products on our stand.
New products
This year, we took some new products to exhibit. We’ve been demonstrating the Raizer emergency lifting chair all over the place giving OTs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals a chance to see how easy it can be to get a fallen person from the floor to standing in just minutes. Interestingly, the main reason for interest in the Raizer at Kidz to Adultz North was the fact that just one person can operate it. This frees the carer up to keep eye contact and conversation with the fallen person which will make them more comfortable and relaxed whilst the Raizer lifts them.
We were also demonstrating our very own product; released this year, the Lento care chair has caused a real stir in the healthcare equipment marketplace. We painstakingly designed and crafted the chair ourselves to ensure complete perfection. With adjustable seat width, height, depth, and a range of other customisable options, the Lento can suit the needs of up to 80% of the population. Quite a few attendees tried the Lento for themselves, and we had plenty of comments on how comfortable it is!
Aquaclean
Rather surprisingly, the star of the show for us was the Aquaclean 8000 wash/dry toilet. We set it up on our stand with a little water in it to show the benefits of exactly what it can do. People were amazed by the variations of settings that you can choose from; water pressure and water temperature being just two of them! Designed to take care of your complete toileting experience, the Aquaclean 8000 doubles up as a bidet to keep you clean and fresh after using the loo.
One parent even said:
This is 100 times better than the wash/dry one we’ve been using at home.
We also took a few extra bits with us like an electric wheelchair, a top of the range overhead hoist system from Innova Care Concepts, and the ever-popular Kinder paediatric care chair. Tristan and Ramsey manned the stand all day, and had a great time meeting everyone. They spent most of their time giving demonstrations and chatting to the attendees, and they’re already looking forward to next year’s exhibition.
Thanks for having us Kidz to Adultz North, we’ll see you again soon!
